This Irish whiskey cocktail incorporates chai tea and a squash apple syrup.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Triple Dog Irish whiskey
- ½ oz. Chilled chai tea
- ½ oz. Squash apple syrup*
- 2 dashes Aromatic bitters
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with cubed ice and stir well.
- Strain over a king cube in a short glass.
- Garnish with cinnamon stick and dried orange slice.
Notes
Add one cooked and chopped acorn squash to a blender (about one cup), add ½ cup of applesauce, and puree. Add the pureed mixture to a warm saucepan and add ½ cup of raw honey and ½ cup of water. Stir well until all ingredients are combined and the honey has dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool before adding it to the cocktail, and store any unused syrup in the refrigerator.
